well all i can say is if you want eveything but the rider to be black and white highlight everythin you want to be black and white with the quick seletion tool (a) is the short cut and just drag it over the back ground but not the rider then click the quick button (top left of screen) and then under colour move the saturation bar right over to the left this will chamge everything you have highlighted with the quick selection tool black and white hope this help you it does take time though lol
